Things that make a grown man cry. . .
So, I've been tracking my Dreadnok 7 pack on UPS in enough anticipation to almost cause an anxiety attack. This morning it says "Delivered." I was so excited I grabbed my cane and speed hobbled myself down to the office of my apartment complex.... No UPS package. I questioned the office staff to make sure they didn't misplace it... not them. I gimp back to my apartment and check my computer... UPS status, delivered... to my old address. ARRGH. I call UPS, nothing they can do. I call my old landlord, he doesn't even own the building anymore. I even drove to my old address, no one was there. Now, keep in mind, I admit, this is entirely my fault. I changed my billing address, but not my shipping on BBTS. But I email them, just with a glimmer of hope that they can do something I haven't been able to, or at the very least have heard something I haven't regarding the package. Nothing they can do.
So, now, I'm hoping with just a small spark of hope left that my former landlord still has some contact info on the person he sold the property to...
Sorry, I realize you probably don't care, but I needed to vent, and my wife said she didn't want to hear me crying over toys.

I had a similar problem once. My previous landlord had the property forclosed on. Thats why I moved in the first place. Luckily, the guy placed it inside the enclosed porch, and it was still there when I stopped by an hour later...

i feel your pain, Rev. used to happen to me all the time. especially when i was in the Navy and i used to travel a lot. i worried about receiving packages and i used to use either my mother's address or my sister's, but sometimes the packages get turned away coz i don't have my name on their lease and the landlord/lady will refuse it.
a Chief Petty Officer told me to get a private mailbox. not a P.O. Box, a private mailbox. like at UPS Store, Mailboxes, etc. or Postal Annex. it will have a real address, like for example - 12xxx Chapman ave #xyz, Anaheim, CA 91xxx.
some go as low as $9 a month. they all would give you 24 hr access to your box.
they will receive your pkgs, and hold it INDEFINITELY until you come and pick it up. they will have a little note in your box saying you have a pkg, see front desk clerk.
just a suggestion, Rev. works for me anyway.

I did this with my wave 3 Storm Shadow off ebay, forgot to change my addy when I moved. Thankfully I know the postmaster of my old house (I went to school with her son) and a quick call and she forwarded it to me, granted it was forwarded parcel post and took an extra week, but worth it in the end.
