Default 2007 World Series

The Red Sox win! 4-0 against the Rockies. What's up with that? The Rockies, too young of a team, got swept! Which is a bummer but it's gotta lead to all sports fans saying, "the Rockies sucked, why couldn't my team get there?" ie; in my case, the Mariners.

I wouldn't say they sucked, I would say the were the best team in the NL, and sucked against a more dominate RedSox team.

Red Sox (our Joedios member, and all around good guy) must be quite happy today!

He might be too preoccupied to check the forum today though!

The Rockies might have been able to win one game from them if there had not been that many days from their last NLCS game and game 1 of the World Series. But the layoff only hastened the inevitable.

Hats off to the Red Sox. That was fairly dominant...

Side note/personal opinion: I think Baseball would be better served shortening the season and putting the playoffs in August. No overlap with the NFL would help Baseball a lot...

Ain't that the truth! My brother and I both agreed last night that even our pathetic Giants could've won one game against the Sox.

Thanks for the kind words york.

I am absolutely elated and had a blast watching the parade yesterday (on TV instead of in person like '04 unfortunately, don't they know people have to work on weekdays? ).

The Rockies were overmatched and I think the 8 days off kind of hurt them too. Overall right now the NL is just weaker than the AL, but these things tend to be cyclical.

And Scarlett I agree about playing year round, I love it!

I had the understanding too that the week off didn't help any. But doesn't that happen with all teams? I mean, sometimes you are on a streak, other times, you're a slump. That's hard to apply to Cleveland and Boston since they had the best W-L #s...

Because the Rockies swept the NLCS they had 8 days off while waiting for the Sox/Indians series to finish plus the requisite couple of days off after the LCS series. So yes there is generally some time off between series but not usually as much as the Rockies had. Regardless I think we had the better team anyhow.
