News Hasbro's GI Joe Renegades Q&A

Quote:
Hello G.I. Joe Fans! Hasbro shares the fans’ excitement for this first season of G.I. Joe Renegades and we’re sure you have some great questions that you’ve been dying to ask since the show’s debut this past November. Well, now is your chance! Hasbro is offering you an opportunity to participate in a special bonus round of our G.I. Joe Q&A in which the team at The Hub and Hasbro Studios behind the hit G.I. Joe Renegades show will answer your questions! Please submit one (1) question by Friday, January 21 at 3:00 PM. The team’s responses will be returned by February 7. Looking forward to getting your questions, and have a great weekend! YO JOE!

So, what shall we ask?

Hammerfel

OK, here's what I sent:

Quote:
Hello The Hub and Hasbro Studios teams!

We at www.JoeDios.com are into GI Joe storytelling, and are just eating up the very fresh story being told in GI Joe Renegades. I am also the Director of Skunkworks at Sony Online Entertainment, which just last week released our new PC/PS3 MMO, DC Universe Online, so I am familiar with bringing a license to a new medium (TV, video games, comics, and toys, all together), and I will be a panelist at the upcoming Engage! conference at Toy Fair in NYC next month. I would enjoy meeting up with any of you there. My contact info & bio are at http://www.linkedin.com/in/nathanpearce for introductions.

But that's my day Job. JoeDios.com is my hobby, and making stories with these characters a fun creative outlet for me. My stories (dios) are at http://www.hammerfel.com/dios

The JoeDios.com question is this:
Do you plan to continue to put cool Easter Eggs in GI Joe Renegades like this tribute to Star Wars in GI Joe Renegades Episode 6:

The Joes in the Cobra Broadcast control room:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DJVJxD9Dvws#t=6m48s

Han Solo, Chewbacca and Luke Skywalker in the Detention Block:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RqXo41tTyOk#t=0m46s

If so, I applaud you and suggest you make it even more obvious. I would suggest Tunnel Rat say "Boring conversation anyway. Duke! We're going to have company!" after he blasted the comm device with the Baroness, just to drive the tribute home so more people would get it.

For those who recognized the reference, it was a special treat for us adult fans.

1. he obvious one, are we getting figures based on the look of the characters?
2. Is Season 2 have a greenlight yet?
3. Are we going to be seeing more obscure joes show up since this is an all new continuity? Or will it be mainly just the characters we have seen and the most popular characters?
4. I have only seen the first 4 eps so far so this might be already answered but, Will we see the formation of a formal G.I.Joe backed team sometime in the future as outlaws are good for a while but lets face it, It's the A-Team with Joe Names.

If you mean as in cartoonish look they have said that they will keep with the 25th style and not do the cartoonish and some may get made in another question and answer page.

All they would have to do really is new head sculpts. I don't collect 25th style figures anyway so I don't know why I care other then maybe getting more kids collecting and keeping the brand alive. Long live the the O-ring.....

Steeler appeared in the last one I saw, so maybe they'll be adding more Joes in cameo roles...

why dd they rip off the Ateam for this new joe show. will there be more then 5 joes in the truck, not just the cameos of joes. as to me the story line is getting real old and i stopped watching it after what they did to breaker.

rip cord is dead!!!!!!!!! if they bring him back that would just be taking a step back.

Can we have the cobra security guys that are in suits? srsly.
And if so, can they ship any future troop builders in a quantity that people that don't have target stock times memorized can get some, or at least keep your own freaking online store stocked?
