Default Black ops Tomahawk/Vertol

I was going to reveal this after the dio story but I can't wait.......
Here is a how to on making your own Black ops Tomahawk.
Basically I tried to revert the basic airframe to look more like a Boeing Vertol 107 or CH46 Seaknight as you Americans may know it. I had the privelege of flying a Vertol for 7 months during a short logging stint recently.

Basic Tomahawk from Ebay;

I cut out the missle recesses because the idea of my aircraft is that is is based on the Tomohawk but lightned by removing unecessary ordinance. This thing needs to be fast and strong for night ops.

Fixing the mess created on the inside after the plastic welding;

I also decided to remove the subfloor and leave what would be just the fuselage ribs on a real Vertol. This also eliminates one of my pet peeves about the original Tomahawk. The floor was too high.

I then added the fron window on the left;

and what would be the crew door on the right;

Next some PSP to block off the lower section.

Blocking off the stupid tail rotor. Why a dual rotored helicopter needs a tail rotor was beyond me even in 1986....I mean that's the whole [point of two rotor systems!

Guess what these are for!

BAM! instant cool

Some paint and glue and satin camo patterns

The fuselage sides just clip on so they can be removed for interior photos.

Wow! Very nicely done. I love how you removed some of the non-realistic parts of the hasbro tomahawk... and the gunner windows and covers for the crew compartment... nicely done.

The paint looks great, can't wait to see a finished product.

That is amazing!

Great work and great how to! I didn't think you could improve on the Tomahawk but you've proven me wrong!

What are the fuselage covers made out of?
