Question - Best glue for foamcore wall joints?

My wife bought some rather large foam core panels to make some kid-sized doors for a set for my son's play. She needs to get some strong glue to join them together. I remember someone on JoeDios recommending a glue that kind of melts the foamcore (or was it styrofoam?) together.
