Protesters burn down TRU
The red shirt protesters in Thailand have burned down one of the largest malls in Asia, which included a large TRU. The mall had several toy areas, mostly in department stores, including ZEN, which occupied several floors. I think 6 floors out of 8 floors of the mall. Very good selection of toys, from Joes to Gundam and all sorts of 1/18th scale stuff. Lots of 1/18th scale cars, land rovers, 007 cars, and lots of 1/18th scale doll house stuff for girls, including those nice looking Japanese school room sets we see from time to time posted here. They had a lot of the BnB Sgt Slaughter, and some good places to eat, manga shop, .. oh the memories... :-(
Anyway, protesters don't like toys I guess. :-(
Here's a YouTube of the mall burning, which really hurts .. I mean.. I was just there... much of those places in the vdo I've been at. And the second link are just static photos of memories of when the mall was all okay.. including one of my photos. Wonder if anyone will notice it.

Not funny, I actually had a house fire 8 years ago and sifting though the rubble you really get disheartened when you find a kick arse figure charred and melted, also its hard for anything to come out unscathed.

Thanks all! I'm all safe here in the US, for now. Will be heading back to Thailand this August. Without that big mall and the TRU in it, well, I guess I'll have more time to play with my wife ;-)

Btw, 276 is the photo I took. The fountain is in sync with the music, which was either Jingle Bells or that sleigh ride one. All Christmas music, in and around that mall too, even after New Years. Was nice.
