Looking again at the figures who have a "?" instead of a head shot (and wouldn't that make Presidential elections more fun?) -- one of them is listed as "Specialist Trakker."

Now; it's possible that this is a misprint and they're doing Tracker, but he's not exactly a fan-favourite in the history of the line. Another thing is the "Specialist" prefix -- that's new. Why not "Sergeant" or "Agent" or use his codename in the middle of his real name?

The line is all about 80s nostalgia, and back in the 80s there WAS a cartoon & toy character called Trakker -- Matt Trakker, in the MASK toyline. MASK was made by Kenner, and Kenner was bought by Hasbro in the mid-90s...

P.S. Did anyone else linger around on the site long enough to play the Do you know your GI Joe? It was pretty funny. I got a nine out of ten, couldn't for the life of me remember which Drednock was afraid of spiders

I did some 'poking around' last night.........TONS of fun stuff and lots of nostalgia on the site!!!

This whole MATT TRAKKER business has got to be the goofiest assumption made by fans ever. Ever occur to anyone they spelled TRACKER's name "Trakker" for copyright reasons, too?

Really, why on Earth would they shoehorn in a character from a whole seperate toyline? Does Hasbro even own those character or does Dic (who made the cartoon)?

Also, how can they expect people to vote on all those unseen future releases.

Plus you have Cobra Commander helmet vs. Cobra Commander striped helmet. Tough decision there. I'm gonna vote for both, plus Hooded CC and armor CC.

There are a few reasons why people have made this assumption. Yes, Hasbro does own MASK, since they bought Kenner about ten years ago. Also, when the wave including "Trakker" was found in Wal-Mart computers, the character was listed as "Mask." Since then, that wave was put on this list, but the character called "Mask" was replaced with "Trakker." I was skeptical at first too, till I read all this info. Now, the more I think about it, the more sense it makes.

Must've missed or forgotten that MASK listing part. Not reading all the gossip these days.

Got that theme song in my head. "TRAKKER'S GONNA LEAD THE MISSION, BECAUSE...he's the white blonde guy and this is the 1980's" Okay, maybe I misremembered part of the song.

Considering they've done Action Man and Sgt. Slaughter before, Matt Trakker wouldn't surprise me at all.

If it IS Tracker with a typo, I still have the questions 1) Why the new "Specialist" prefix instead of all the other ways they've got around trademark issues before; 2) A misspelling on a Wal-Mart computer is one thing, but on Hasbro's own GI Joe website? And finally, 3) Why the hell would they be doing Tracker of all Joes at this point...!?

Default Question: 25th at Rite Aid?

So I just got home from Rite Aid pharmacy (stocking up on alcohol for the weekend) and I saw something interesting. At my local Rite Aid, they keep there toys in the aisle in front of the back one containing the "good stuff". So I always walk through through and browse on my way back. But today when I walked through there was a child in there holding 2 of the 1 wave 25ths begging his mom to buy them. Unfortunately she conceeded and gave into the brat. I am not a huge fan of them, but wave 1 is already fetching a nice profit on ebay and SE has good accesories, so I'll seize an opportunity when I see it. Well anyway I went back in a few mins, and could not find a peg or label for the joes, they had lots of hasbro junk like starwars etc, and even some older marvel legends, but no more joes. I searched hiss tank and other sites but cannot find a record for rite aid selling these yet. Does anybody know if rite aid will be getting older 25th stuff? or could this be a werid return of merchandise or in a box shipped with starwars stuff? any answer is insightful and any who, I guess keep your eyes open if your a 25th lover or like to sell crap. cheers-
