I agree with that..

I agree with that, especially if the product isn't meeting the advertisement's proclamations. I've heard so many mixed reviews on these I am not in a place to judge without seeing these for myself. One person says they are great another says they are lame because of rush jobs sloppy paint apps and gimpy knees.
If the figures are poorly constructed, then yes it would unsettle fans that they'd have to wait longer due to a put back on the release, (kind of like releasing console games) however despite this most fans would be pleased to know hasbro have addressed the problem and rather than rush them out they have hauled them back to change them and get the factory to get it right.
Course we are on the outside, we don't know what there budgets are for this line, don't know who's in control and don't know the full Situation.
All i know is that i've heard alot of people complain and alot of people are happy with them.
Guess we'll have to wait and see what happens next.

Believe it or not, GI Joe toys actually have deadlines! The whole subject of the 'overly large' Beach Head is on the other boards. You guys really gotta check out that thread on JBL because it discusses how the Chinese factories will change up things on products and not ask. Seriously tho, if the product coming over is crap, then why is Hasbro letting it slide? Why don't they step up and have things redone, budget or not? Cuz in the end, the company loses consumer trust by allowing this stuff to end up on the shelves. Certainly, it's gotta be cheaper in the long run. *shrug*

John Warden is the new guy who seems to basically be in charge of most of the 25A stuff (at least the looks of it, etc).
Warden is NOT a fan of "updated looks".. he wants classic characters in classic uniforms. The "updated" Serpentor was not his idea, and by the time he was made aware of it, it was too late to change him back. This is apparently true for a few other figures and/or certain aspects of some of the figures.
There will be an additional wave at the very end of 2007.. so expect some 2008 stuff a little early.
According to Warden, Hasbro did NOT order any mid-forearm swivel joints on figures that did not have gloves (Duke, Flint, etc). They were all supposed to be wrist joints that the factory in China changed without authorization. True? not true? That's what he said. He plans to work many of the current problems out, & they are well aware of them (the mid-forearm joint, poor elbows on some figures, the "sitting problem", etc. Improvements won't likely show up before 2008 because the 2007 figs are more-less at the factory stage already.
Vehicles are being strongly considered, but don't hold your breath until the figure line is well established & running smoothly.
Warden absolutely wants to do both comic and toon characters... he pretty much confirmed it. He avoided confirming exact names, but there are very obvious ones that always come to mind.. Venom, etc.
It was actually Warden's idea to do the silver logo trooper because he liked the viper glider pilot.. & then the red logo's would be available in the 5-pack. When told that most fans would probably appreciate the red logo for the troopers, he said that he is a HUGE blueshirt/army builder fan & plans to basically have blueshirts available continuously.. similar to the SW clones/stormtroopers, etc. In other words, every year should see 1 or 2 new blueshirt release(s).
The black & gray Timber are supposed to be dead even at 50%-50%. he has no idea why the black is showing up as more rare right now, but suspects that as the figures come out, the 50-50 will become apparent.
He mentioned that Stalker will be a 50-50 variant too.. his camo colors inverted (similar to the 2 comic pack Stalkers, where the colors were reversed with the second Stalker).
Dwight is off of the Joe line now.. he's working on another line that Hasbro believes will be huge next year.
Beach Head's head is pretty big.. Warden directed the sculptor working on ti to make it smaller, but as they kept doing revisions, they ran out of time for the head change, so Warden was forced (Hasbro deadlines) to send Beach Head to the factory as-is.
Warden DID hint that if the line does well, he very badly wants to go back and re-do a few of the early figures (Duke, etc), however, capital for a re-do can only come from solid sales.. soooo... not sure what to expect. The re-do would mostly be about the corrected joints.
Warden is not a fan of painted weapons. He said that it takes multiple paint washes and a lot of money to do that. We'll likely not see many painted weapons after 2007, but this is a good thing (in Warden's opinion) because all the money saved on the painted weapons will go towards the actual figures, etc. They WILL, however, continue to get unique accessories, even though they won't be painted.
*whew*
That's about as much as I can remember from what AJ said.. hopefully when he gets back from the con, he'll chime in.

wow awesome info thanks a lot i like all blk weapons anyway you can always paint them, i hope they make a trooper 6 pk, i think this new guy is doing well i like the look of the figures and if they update the functionality even better, i seen someone put recondo gloves on flint it looked great but i am going to try putting this dukes gloves on him if i ever find the 25th guys
http://www.yojoe.com/action/03/duke12.shtml ,
any one have this combo to try out and tell me how it looks/ works?
this launch reminds me of when the joes came out with the straight arms first and then went to swivel arms and the figures just got better and better.

Straight arms to swivel arms was an improvement, unfortunately I can't say the same about the move to the 25th ann figure style.

SDCC Playing Card deck reveals art for upcoming figures
Comicon 25th Anniversary Playing Cards
That some use new artwork, that practically tells us these characters are coming for the 25th style line.
I never would've though HISS DRIVER would be made so soon.
Also, looks like they are gonna swamp this line with repaints.

Second Cobra 25th Anniversary pack on YoJoe.com
Check out the link for a picture of the second 25th anniversary Cobra 5-pack on yojoe.com;

Pretty disappointing, I must say. Cheap-arsed repaints with a comic pack Gas Trooper head thrown in as a "Jet Pack Trooper". Hasbro must think we all love wasting money on trash when they offer up c.r.a.p. like this!
