I'll meet you outside the Del Mar gate if you can get me an LVSR or San Clemente if you can score an LAV. Don't need to worry about shipping that way.

At least my goofy request is somewhat feesable.

Some people, when trying to avoid thinking about those things that cause them pain, turn to drink, or perhaps food, or drugs... I turn not to any of those... I collect action figures, turning my mind to the hunt, so that I might find a mote of peace... Over the years, I've found that alcoholism is much more socially acceptable by far.

How about I steal one of the new EFV's for you?

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Expedi...ighting_Vehicle

Just don't bitch when you throw the tranny every time you go from the ocean up to the beach...hell, those 40 pound brains at General Dynamics and their six figure salaries can't figure out that one....that's why the damn thing is over budget and late to field! LOL!

****DISCLAIMER*****
The above is a Joke, any Marines reading this realize I DON'T STEAL...and even if I did, I wouldn't steal that piece of CRAP!!

That thing still isn't in regular service? They were tesing that thing in DEl Mar when I went to Motor T school there. The AMTRAC school was right there too and they were running that thing through test. That was 92.
That thing is really cool, but yeah, I've heard there were issues.

I'm not sure how things are nowadays, but I remember thinking back in the day how easy it would be to steal a HMMWV or a five ton. Working in the motor pool, I could get fake trip tickets and drive the thing off base and no one would question it until later in the evening before quitting time they'd see the empty space in the lot and wonder where that vehicle was. By then it'd be long gone.

I did, however work with two guys who had a plan to steal a couple of AMTRACs. Their idea was to use them to invade Cuba and take out Castro. I am not making this up. Their theory was, "It's only Castro, it's not like any one would care." They were going to wait till they went out into the field or the range and swipe a bunch of ammo and try to get their hands on a sniper rifle.

Real bunch of Tactical Geniuses, huh? Did they ever think what they were gonna use on the rest of the Cuban Army when they didn't just step aside and let them kill Castro? LOL!!

One of them is flipping burgurs (seriously), the other one is most likely to have his death featured on "1000 Way To Die." There were good guys, jusy not the sharpest blades in the shed.
