I would think that if he was pulling a scam, he'd request money over another figure, since he'd already have the figure. Then again, the way some people are about acquiring figures...
reminds me, do u guyz have any free Fireflys i can have?

It happens. I just recently recieved a parcel which had been torn open and the contents were missing. Luckily the seller was an decent person and gave me a refund without any hassle. Since then I've put in a claim at the post office to see if I can get some money back for the seller.

A long time ago when I was in college, my mom sent a small package that she had wrapped in a folded piece of bubble wrap inside a regular letter sized envelope.
There was clearly a problem with the machine as I received fragments of the envelope, a small portion of the letter she sent and a "Best of Motown 5" cassette tape. (Not what mom had sent...)
There was such a foul up at the post office that they put that all in a small USPS ziploc bag with a pre-printed apology on it. Evidently, these things happen from time to time, or they wouldn't have "apology baggies" already to go.
I'm glad everything worked out...and let's move on to other topics.

You know, you guys can rag Jay all you want, but it was the first thing that went through my mind, too. Most of you have had dealings with me and you know I'm a pretty straight shooter, and I understand where FireFlyed is coming from, he feels that since the figure didn't reach it's destination intact, it's up to him to make it right, and I admire you for that, but I can also see where Jay is coming from. My dealings on ebay, I've had people take my money and swear that the stuff is on it's way...and then the replacement is on it's way...or they mailed me out a check, until it's too late to lodge a complaint with ebay, and then I get shafted. All you can do is make sure no one can say the same about you. I get hateful sometimes when I deal honestly with someone and they shaft me, but I don't let it affect me when dealing with others. Sometimes, you get shafted enough by people you trust and it makes you jaded and suspicious.
Just because Jay is suspicious doesn't make him bad, hell Cory, I see it as him kinda lookin out for you. You're a hell of a guy from my dealings with you and I could see some asshole taking advantage of you. Sometimes suspicion is NOT a bad thing! My question is, did the guy ask for insurance on the package? If he did, I'd say let him use that as reimbursment.....

Awesome work joedios! that was a fast save.
As to Jay pointing out what most might have been thinking.
He could have said fireflyed was trying to get a figure, that would have made him an a$$h0l3, but then again, everybody here knows fireflyed and that he is one of the most stand up guys you can find.

I never meant to imply that Jay had no right to be suspicious, just wanted to illustrate that there is an element of risk in sending things by mail!

I think your attitude towards this is admirable, fireflyed, wanting to make things right -- it's good to know there's honourable people in our collecting community!
