Hi everyone, I'm Mike and I'm from Wausau, Wisconsin. Well, I had a decent collection of GI Joes back in the 80's, but my mom sold my whole collection for $5 at a garage sale when I was in the Army.
Over the past year I have been slowly buying the ones I had, and the ones I wanted. I am more partial to Cobra, but I have a soft spot for a select few of the Joes.
I am working on getting up to speed with the "Expert" Dio builders here. I am working on a story and some drawings as we speak so hopefully I will have something out by the end of the year...if all goes right.
Thanks to the powers that be for setting up this site and giving us all the opportunity to meet and exchange ideas.

Hi Mike, I'm Joe in Green Bay, just a little ways East down Hwy 29.
Sorry about your mom's mistake. My Mom had our stuff in cardboard boxes and she brought it over to our house when we moved out. I suppose I'm very fortunate in that extent that my Mom's pack rat gene saved my collection from the land of the garage sale.. My wife was less amused, as our house is not that big...
Welcome aboard, and glad to have a fellow collector from Northern Wisconsin!

Same here. Always nice to see a fellow cheesehead. Makes it seem like the world is a little bit smaller.
