And tomorrow night: Global Warming -- all those carbon emissions are probably bad for the atmosphere, right? Someone should look into that.

It should be..
It really should be titled If Only... Nevermind.
In all seriousness, i think even if O-rings had been fitted into 25th G.I.Joe's some of them still wouldn't look that great if i'm honest.
I can't sit and berate the 25th product any longer, until of course I get that Storm Shadow figure reviewed.
An attempt, an honest one at best.. to give the 25th G.I.JOE a chance. Now it's more honest than their creators that's for sure.
Just a note to the threadstarter here, I think it was considered by alot, and I do mean alot, of 80s G.I.JOE fans that not including the O-ring was a big step backwards (disappointment). Some have got over it and some can't get past it.
Is it completely impossible to open up a 25th figure and transform the middle so it accepts O-ring? Is this not a custom feature that some excellent craftsperson could do?

It is not only the o-ring...
it's the 4 inches tall....
the baseball toy heads...
the poor articulation...
the arthritic hands...
anyway...

if your going to give them a chance, you should get a newer figure. there has been some, not a lot of improvement since the first 2 or 3 waves. try maybe one of the twins or firefly. storm shadow and the first waves are almost like straight arm joes to the swivel arm. well maybe not that much, but there has been some improvement.
speaking on the matter of no o-ring. my first thought was like everyone else. i hate change and i knew it was going to suck. still, unlike everyone else who had tons of joes from their childhood, i had hardly any. i never had hundreds to begin with. when i herd they were coming out with the 25th, i knew it was my chance to get the ones i never had as a kid, so i had already decided to get them no matter what. my friend jumped on board right from the get go and liked them better then the old stuff. it took me a few waves to come around. not counting the first wave or 2, i like them as much as the old stuff.
