Ok folks, bear with me here, this might be a bit on a long one, but here goes.

I have lived in the same province here in Canada most of my life. I was 9 years old when my Dad was first posted here (I am 26). Other than a year of University, I've lived here. I honestly thought that I was doomed to be stuck here with a dead end job, living hand to mouth, basically the only thing keeping my going were my hobbies and my few good friends.

Several months ago, my best friend John found some people we went to Elementary School on Facebook ( a more adult, cleaned up version of Myspace....even my mother is on Facebook). One of these people was Jen. I added her, and started to talk to her. It turns out, she too, was still in the area. I suggested we go out for pool or something. Not three days later, and we had hung out.

I am not to afraid to admit that first time we hung out again I was nervous as hell and downed 4 beer in about a half hour. We played pool, and talked the whole time, we found we had alot of the similar interests, and some same experiences in our adult years. When she dropped me off that first night, I told her we had to do it again sometime.

To Jen, this "Let's do it again sometime" meant I was being nice and thought she was a dork. How surprised was she when she got home to see an e-mail already from me with my next week's sched and plans to start hanging out. Jen had plans for moving out west, and seeing her more before she left became my top priority. There was this sudden connection, all that typical "gettin to know you" BS wasn't really there, we slipped right into a friendship.

Through talking, it became very clear that we were both very much attracted to each other. She came out and did some Joe shots with me (which she thinks is so amazing), and the first time I went to her place to watch movies, we kissed, and all hell broke loose.

I knew it, and she knew it, but it took another week or so for us to both admit we had it bad. We were in love like we'd never been before. We felt so comfortable around each other, so accepted for EXACTLY who we were. I even got her playing D&D with my friends here a few times and she loved it.

So then came the big problem, Jen was moving in a month and a bit at this point. She hated it here as much as I did, so I would NEVER have asked her to stay here. The next logical idea....I go with her.

Not so much with her, but come up afterwards. She would be staying with her brother, getting a job then lookin for a place for her and I.

I happlily told my parents what had happened to me, how happy I had been, and that once I saved enough money, I'd be going to be with Jen, out of here and into a more meaningful and happy life. My Father and step mother paid for my plane ticket nearly on the spot. My Dad has hated the fact I am still here and wanted me out years ago.

So, on July 15th, I take that Freedom Bird back to the World. My rent here is up at the end of the month, I'm going to live with me mother for the first two weeks of July, then off to meet with my Destiny, the love of my life, and the best friend I have ever had...Jen.

My mother had the net, though it's dial up, so untill I leave leave I will still be in touch. And I'll be mailing my computron up to me out west. Don't worry folks, Jen knows how important my Joe collection and JD is to me, hell, she wants to help me do photos and write dios. (Didn't I find the perfect woman?). But you guys are great friends, great people and I had to share with you the best thing to ever happen to me, and the sheer excitment I have everyday waking up knowing I am one day closer to being with her.
