do your friends, family and better half support your joe habit?
just wondering how things go with the rest of you, are you supported, not supported or just straight out ignored for your joe collecting? to my family its not a big deal, they dont go one way or another, but when they asked this year if i wanted anything for christmas and i said find me something to go with my joes if anything, they didnt go for that. my friends are all ok with it as they were there with me playing all those days, it still takes them back. although im the only one of us who still collects, one of them still remembers every name from the good ol days. as for my g/f, she loves it, she teases me sometimes about its either her or the joes, but she loves the fact that it makes me dorky... i never knew being though of as dorky was a good thing, apparently its sexy, who knew.

I've got to admit that my best friend and I have always been Joe devotees....so it wasn't a big deal. Then I got him to marry my sister, so she's been stuck for 10 years now........she doesn't mind, she even tries to come up with some ideas herself every once in a while.
And I've actually met 'the man of my dreams' here in the Joe community!! So I can say with conviction, 'G.I. Joe is ALIVE AND KICKING' in my house!!!
YO JOE!!!!!!!

Wife will support me since I'm not spending more on Joes that on the house bills. And friends always look to the pictures and say:
"He looks real!"
"Oh! Very good!"

Misty is pretty supportive of me, if she knows of something in particular I am looking for and she sees it she will grab it. As long as I make sure we have all the bills paid and a little extra put back each check, she doesn't mind my habit/hobby/addiction.
My mother hates it, to this day, and thinks I should give it all away.
My friends are cool with it, some of them still actively collect, but none to the extent that I do.

well my family is ok with it, to a extent, they only get mad about it when I spend more money on joes then I do on food, clothes, etc...etc..., most of my friends don't mind it, some of them like it, and some just like to make fun of it, and on the last one I'm not married, and single, so I wouldn't know

I collect waaay more than just Joes, and my friends all know it and have no problem with it. My best friend collects lots of toys too (though no Joes), and we all read comic books, so it's nothing unusual in our circles.
My mom collects toys too, mainly re-buying stuff from her childhood, and picking up whatever looks interesting when she's at Toys R Us. I've actually used some of her stuff in the Joe/TF story (Spike's pickup truck and the office cubicles in the very first scene, to name two). I think my dad thinks it's sort of weird, but he's never said anything about it. My brother doesn't buy toys of his own, but he loves to check mine out whenever I get something new.
I don't have a significant other, so I can't speak to that part. All I can say is, she'd better be okay with, or at least indifferent to it, because if not, that's grounds for breaking up!

I actually have a really supportive group. My family gives me ideas when I need them. My son more then the rest. My friends and co workers really enjoy the photos I do. So I'm going to say (in reference to the title) Yes, Yes and oh hell yeah.

Thankfully my wife not only tolerates my hobby/addiction, but happily supports it. She has been with me on every location shoot I've ever done, and her arm has been photoshopped out of many aerial pictures over the years. She even bought me last year's convention set for my birthday!
