That is odd, I put my date down 04/04/1980 use the / / keystrokes between your day/month/year in entry and see if this works.
If you have any problems let me know.

Paypal
Hey Trench,
Yes of course, I think paypal is the preferred payment method.
I just thought I'd also answer the question about fees, as well.

It would be a nice addition if Google Checkout was also an option.
I think it is free to set it up.

Google checkout
I think Scott mentioned something about Google, us being added to the search engine or something to that effect, so i'll mention this to him and see what he says.
Thanks for the suggestion Goldbug. Have you all signed up yet?

I just wanted to drop in and say hello. Bid4figures is slowly getting people. As with anything, there have been a couple hiccups here and there (mainly with email being sent improperly), but as a whole, I am happy with it. I am working on the hiccups as quickly as possible.
Urban Saboteur had sent me an email about google checkout. Sadly, this is a costly feature it seems. :/ In order to have it, the site will have to pay for x amount of advertising per month or pay $0.02 plus 2% of every transaction, and this of course would prevent the site from remaining free. Beyond that, the version of the software the site is using does not allow for easy integration. Yeah, they did this on purpose to get you to buy the uber expensive software. So, for now, I do not see any way to integrate a checkout/payment portal.
Anyway, thanks everybody for the interest. I am hoping this will turn into something good for action figure collectors. I know I wasn't loving the sick amount of money I had to give ebay and paypal whenever I put a round of stuff up for sale, and I loved having to take paypal only even less.

Hmmm eCrater has it integrated & they are a free site. The 2 cents + 2% is what gets taken out if someone pays me(a user) with it. Or I can advertise with Google & get free transactions.

The way I read it is if you pay for ads through google, you can get up to 10% of what you spend free with checkout. Now, I could be wrong, but the way it sounded, if I try to integrate it into the site, which is a task beyond my ability without paying, then I am responsible for the payment. hmmmm

Maybe a stupid question, but can you sell/buy vehicles, too? I'd like to help get this website out there, as a LOT of people are bummed with the 'Bay.
Ah, just checked Star Wars and saw a vehicle. I guess there aren't any active Joe vehicle auctions right now.
