Oh well, another "intro" thread that I was sure I posted
But anyway my bio needs updating, so here's up-to-date "what would you want to know about Ion"
I'm 21 so far, and come from Cracow, Poland (by the way Cracow says hello to Wien ). Quite a long distance from the Joe homeland as you can see
I'm a full time (and I mean FULL now) student of Journalism (3rd year of 5) AND English Philology (1st year of 5 ) at the university. Two different to be exact
My Joe collecting began aroun '89 or '90 - don't remember exactly, I was around 3 or 4 yrs old back then. First figure was TF Tripwire which I still own, as well as all of my childhood Joes. Up to 1996 - year when they become unavailable in Poland - I managed to collect around 40 figures and 10 vechicles. And then came a long break.
Around 1999 I finally got a LAN connection and wandering through the depths of the internet - I discovered that G.I.Joe collecting is still alive and I sank into it again - at last having opportunity to get all those childhood dreams sets, that I saw in catalogues
Figuring out that making dios is the best thing you can do with your Joes - I'm here (for some time as you can see), and I'm glad that there's such a great place an community
Besides Joes - I'm a plastic model maker, huge military fan, skier, biker, rock climber, metalhead and I surely omitted a lot

Intro
What's up guys. My name is Cory-Allen Castle, I'm 24 and a senior at the University of Kentucky. I grew up an airforce brat and lived on a different base usually shorter than every 6 months(my dad was in intelligence and we were based out of Fort Meade, Maryland, NSA.). The one constant that I had was that no matter wear I ended up as long as I had the coolest joes with me, I knew I'd be fine. Later in life, my dad retired, i went to the same college as him and walked on and played some football and attempted to "grow up" (their is no such thing and if their is there is no reason to so). Now once again, joes are once against forced thankfully back in my life. I just got back from a recent deployment with the airforce myself and I love my joes more than ever. I hate that fact that they lost popularity in the 90's and lost the spotlight. I have tubs full of all my classic joes in the basement but I have latched onto a personal mission to make a modern force of joes that represent our current armed forces into today's day and age. I enjoy the new scuplts and accessories: the newer joes like RAH and the 25th line, and I love to integrate the new style into the old. I just found this site last night and I had no idea this world existed. I was just making my own personal army of detailed troops and creating my own fun scenes that I regretfully made my girlfriend pretend she was intrested in (hehe!). But I think its really enjoyable to share your vision and meet people with the same niche of intrest. I don't have to throw my joes in the closet anymore when my former wildcat football teammates come over; I think dios are extremely fun and a joy to share, thanks for having me.

Hello Cory!
It's great of you to post your intro. Nice selection for an avatar too!
Did you collect any of the 2000-2001 ARAH Figures?
I thought for the most part the colours and sculpts were excellent in choice.
It's refreshing to hear someone put an effort into their introduction and welcome themselves propper. I look forward to seeing some of your joe stuff.
Welcome to Joe Dios
Rich

I forgot.
I never introduced myself..
I'm Richard. 27 From Manchester, United Kingdom.
I've recently decided to sell off a large proportion of my joe stuff, I'm persuing other goals in life atm. Although i wont be totally out of joe stuff. I'm limiting myself down to favourites and ARAH Styled stuff.
I've taken quite nicely to the ML & DC Super Heroes Stuff and I have my own cool forum online that's interlinked with my ebay store which shares the same name
I like taking pictures of Toys either in a collection sense or in dios. Recreating adventures using miniture figures is fantastic.

Good to see a positive post by you around here. I just left you + markers on your reputation score. I didn't realise you were a SW Fan.
This site has a great dose of collectors of multiple toy lines.
