Default 25th Re-Tools

So I was thinking... Since the premise of the 25th anniversary figures seems to be a few basic bodies re-tooled with new heads, web gear, etc. (much like Marvel Legends has been doing successfully for years), who could the already-revealed 25th figs be re-tooled into?

All of these ideas are assuming, as I said above, that new heads and web gear would be created. Just looking at the first few years of figures that originally came out, this is what I've come up with:

The most use would probably come from Snake-Eyes's mold. Since it has the "commando turtle neck" style, it can become Hawk, Grunt, Short-Fuze, and Zap. (this is assuming it's already going to become Stalker)

With new arms (or perhaps just using Duke's), it can become Breaker and Rock n' Roll.

Duke's torso could get a lot of use too. I'm kind of already assuming they'll use it for Shipwreck, but I could see it becoming Clutch and (with different arms) Steeler. It can also become Doc, Recondo, Spirit, and Footloose-- And, if Hasbro wants to make the life jacket a separate piece as opposed to molding it on, it could be used for Cutter too.

I seriously doubt Gung-Ho's vest is a separate piece from the rest of his body, but if it was, his torso could become Quick-Kick. Roadblock could be easily turned into Sgt. Slaughter. One of my favorite Cobras, Slice, could be created from Storm-Shadow's mold. Cobra Commander could conceivably become a Crimson Guardsman.

Does anyone else have any ideas?

ive been thinking about this the past few days. i hope this isnt what they do, just reuse the same bodies over and over, i wont but them if they do. ive mostly been thinking of how i can change some parts out and make some customs, it should be easy to change out the legs with any other joe mold. i hope the vest does come off of gung ho, that would make him perfect for any number of customs.

I don't know. I think that with new heads and web gear, a few basic bodies can go a long way. As I said in my first post, Marvel Legends has been doing it successfully for years. Their original Namor mold has also been used for Kraven the Hunter, Nick Fury, and Cyclops. The Moon Knight mold has been used for Havok, Captain Marvel, and Quicksilver. None of those figures look like one another.

With the right cosmetic changes, one mold can go a long way. This is a big difference from straight-up repaints, which is what Hasbro's been giving us for the past few years. You can't repaint an ARAH Duke torso into Flint because of the bandolier. But if you have a torso mold of just a button-down shirt, you can easily turn that into Flint by swapping the bandolier for those shotgun-shell suspenders that Flint wears... Or into Shipwreck by not having any accessories attached. I really think this is the best way for Hasbro to keep the line going, because it will keep their costs down, and since they'll only need to make new heads and accessories, we should (hopefully) see fewer straight repaints of the same character over and over again.

What it comes down to is that the toy industry apparently isn't like it was when we were young. Hasbro can't make a mold and maybe use it one time for one character. They have to repaint it multiple times to recoup their money, and I'd rather have the same mold with minor retools over and over again as several different characters, than the same mold repainted as the same character many times.

The worst thing they can do is repaint heads as new/different characters...that for the most part, doesn't cut it anymore. Yeah, even if there is a red ninja/sei-tinn, it really deserves a new head.

Plus, there's this feeling they will revise characters liek Flint, when the right parts come along. So just how many times are we expected to rebuy characters?
