Chinese Junk...
Can anyone guess about the size/scale this Chinese junk might be?
http://www.siambig.com/shop/info.ph...delbythaistyles
It's the one at the upper right, very top of the page. The one that's almost as tall as a man.
It looks a bit larger than Joe size.. but I'm not sure.

That is true, that one is not listed as a junk. When i wrote the thread I think i was more interested in the scale of the thing in terms of something we can use with joes that I just wrote down chinese junk.. since that was what I was originally looking into when i stumbled across that site.
anyway, that one is about $350.

Cool, I thought you were looking for a Junk. I have owned 3 sloops and lived on 2 of them for years. It is my first love, even over Joes! $350 is some green, but it looks like it is worth it because of all the work involved in rigging it. As far as scale, it it tough to tell. Would be nice if you could read about it. lol

Originally I was looking for prices on real full size Chinese junks for sale, but then my gf asked how about joe size ones. Searching for that I came across that site. But I was also looking for joe size smaller asian boats.. the type you see littering hong kong harbor.... the best i can do is describe by one of my computer generated images... unfortunately I don't have a direct link, but if you connect to my gallery and look for the image "fishing fleet" (posted around 2004) I think ya'll will recognise what i am talking about....

That link should take you to the index page of my current gallery site.

Was only looking out of curiosity. They seem to run on average of $200,000. It's kinda like a long time dream.. more of a fantasy really.
I wouldn't mind though.. then i'll have to figure what to do with it ;-)
I better stick with Joe scale ones, though, and R/C them.
