Lundby - a 60 year old company and makers of fine Swedish crafted dollhouses at 1:18 scale. Its perfect for G.I. Joe - at least when he or she gets off work from battlefields and goes home to his or her family! These dollhouses and their intricate accessories are beautiful. Lundby mostly sold in Europe. Yet some of these beauties reached America. All you Tankers of the Virginia and DC Corps, you are near the "We Love Lundby" club. They seem more interested in vintage Lundby scaling more at 1:16 versus modern Lundby scaling at 1:18. Maybe you VA and DC Tankers can attend their meetings!

Lundby Doll Houses

I can only wish Hasbro can make their own line of 1:18 scale dolls and dollhouses. Hasbro's business savvy and mentality already thinks along the lines of different "iterations" across their various brands. For example, the Mighty Muggs and Combat Heroes are "iterations" in their own scale which crosses various brands - Star Wars, Joe, Marvel. I would love to see Hasbro create a common platform in 1:18 scale for a girls line of dolls and dollhouses. That way, a lot of accessories can be used for various lines. Easily inter-changable. Sons and daughters will also equally enjoy a common scale, size, and platform of play. Till then, here are pictures of some of Lundby's beautifully crafted pieces.
