Some advise please
Hello all, over the last few weeks I have been trying to find a site to host the diostory series that I am planning but I can't seem to find one that is inexpensive that will allow for PDF or Powerpoint formats to be hosted. Does anyone have any suggestions, and to start getting some idea of what is working and what is not can those types of files be hosted here?

I have to ask is there are reason you are hosting PDF or Powerpoint formats? PDF seems a bit of overkill and Powerpoint can be done through flash so I am a bit confused on that one. In either case it appears that (on the surface) you will be making your files inaccessable to a great many people as well (PDF's can be a pain and Poerpoint, well not everyone has that).

Yup. I use Yola/Synthesite. It was tough to work with at first, but I got the hang of it. I still don't know all the capabilities but it works for what I want it to do. When I took a break from diostories, I had to relearn how to use that site!
I do know this. Save your files very specificially cuz when you upload them to the site, it's easy to get them confused. Basically, the latest chapter of DoomsDay Machine looks like this on my computer. ddm_ch04_lastenemy_(2). The end number is the specific frame. You don't want to jumble the story up with JUST 02, 03, 04 cuz what if you do another story and use the same numbering? You won't be able to keep track easily. Lehsreh found that out the hard way and the Yola file manager's a mess for us.
Anyway, if you questions, you can ask me or Lehsreh. NOt sure who else uses it.

That's how my site there looks. Just a reference.

I don't have any experience using flash and PDF is one of the few formats where I can save the entire file in one upload and not many.
For all who helped or are interested here is the link to my site currently
