Bludd, Blood
Someone posted a picture of "Dataframe" and I posted on his pic, but thought I might get more input here:
Can anyone tell me why Hasbro didn't name the guy Mainphrame? Kids don't know how to spell anymore, and that gets around the trademark issue... Phonics, Fonix, Hasbro-nix... I have more free ideas if Hasbro would listen...
Marketing meeting at the big H:
"Stalker is gone. How about Sgt. Stalker?"
Phitt, phitt {Silenced tranquilizer dart keeps that guy from anymore creative comments}
How about Stawker or Staaker or Staquer? The name of the game is homonyms....
Creativity brings a smile...passivity brings a collective eye roll.
So now it's your turn... create a homonym (word that sounds the same like their and there) for any Joe or Cobra code-name that Hasbro could use when they let their trademarks expire... The words don't have to be real words...just pronounced the same as the original...

Well, the one I can come up with off the top of my head is my favorite Joe: Dewk.

Don't worry Yorky, I can answer on Hasbro's behalf: "Thanks for the suggestion, but we have no plans for that at this stage".

You are right Craig, but I'm still having fun...
---
Conrad S. Hauser, code-name: Dook ( DooQ)? (Don't step in it!!)
Firefighter: BarBeeQ
Green Beret: Phal-khan (maybe that would be his middle east cover name...)
Jungle Expert: Recon-Doh! (that might infringe Homer Simpson)
Warrant Officer: Flynt or Phlint or Phlynt
VAMP Driver: Klutch
Heavy Machine Gunner: Road-blawk or Road-bloc
Bio HazMat Containment: Heir-tite (okay, that was bad...)
L.R.R.P: Rekoil
There really are more creative ways of getting around trademark and copyright issues without retaining a character and giving them a completely new code name.
