Hasbro Q&A on Hiss Tank
So I was on HISStank.com this morning and one of the answers from Hasbro regarding the classic line, wait for it, it's ending and morphing into the movie line. That's right folks get your classic Joes while you can, cause the geniuses at Hasbro have done it again. Though for fans of the 25th line, and those of us who just want new vehicles, apparently there are more in the works for the rest of the year. The whole Q&A is at hisstank.com.

By classics, you mean the current stuff that started as 25th and continues the same just without the 25th Anniversary logo?
So they ARE pulling a Transformers and getting everything non-movie off the shelves so as not to "confuse" people regarding the brand identity.
And I bet the movie line actually gets released over here in the UK...

This has been mentioned before... I think an earlier report stated that they're pulling the 25th/Classic line, putting out movie figs that will be in scale and style, then ending that line in favor of a merged line where we'll get movie figs, classic figs, and updates of modern figs. (I'm hoping for a 25th articulation style DD Shipwreck, myself!)

When the Transformers movie was on the horizon, Hasbro accounced the cancellation of the Classics line, which was intended as a "placeholder" all along. But the Classics were so overwhelmingly successful, that even before the movie was out of theaters, they announced that it would be continuing after all, but re-named Transformers: Universe. I'm sure a similar thing will happen with the 25th Joes, given how popular they are. The line will probably just take a hiatus while movie toys are on the shelves, then return late next next year.
