The Plague?
Remember when the Steel Brigade/Plague six pack came out? There was supposed to be 13 members of the Plague? What happened? Where are the other 10?
I know! We don't need them! We NEED another version of Snake eyes, Cobra Commander and Storm Shadow! ahhhh...forgive me! I forgot Hasbro doesn't work on logic!
Ok, enough of me being bitter and sarcastic.....Anyone else hoping or looking forward to them rounding out the roster of the Plague?

Dawg, don't get me started!
We KNOW that the Plague was to be a match for the original 13. But it's my opinion/theory/belief that the DTC line sucked in terms of sales. IF things had worked in Hasbro's favor, they could've continued the line. But alas, the 25A was almost upon us and sure as frak, they were NOT going to finish the line, no matter what. The hype had to be over the 25A, not an online campaign.
I would've loved the other 10 members of the the Plague. Even if they were repaints of the JvC v2 SE. It's not the worst figure every used and that figure being used for the Plague, why NOT? Better than GhostBear repaints. I don't see Hasbro even dealing with the Plague. The 2002+ era was all about moving the franchise forward. But apparently, fans just couldn't deal with it. So Hasbro went back to what they believed would work best. Rehashing ARAH models w/ slight updates, new articulation and modern sculpting.
I can't see Hasbro going backwards to finish the Plague which was very much a new concept. IF Hasbro were to continue on the course of DTC and whatever would be aftwards, yes, it would happen eventually. But like the Viper Lockdown pack, we never got a sequel. We never got a rescue team, y'know? So much lost potential. That's Hasbro's failing, not the retailers, imo.

I liked the Plague idea and am sorry that it's not likely to see completion by Hasbro.
DDP has picked up on the idea, though, as part of their World War III storyline, and is rounding out the team. I'm sure there'll be many customs to follow suit...

personally, didn't like, didn't want, didn't buy them. don't like the idea of getting new, generic imo characters when we could still use some remakes of characters with only 1 version. everyone else seems to love them, which for some is enough reason to buy them even if they do or do not like them. i would rather spend my money on some characters that i like and not some guys who arent even good enough to be full fledged joes yet. just my thoughts.

The plague was a cool idea that was messed up by shoddy figures . I think that it is highly unlikely we will see the concept again, at least from hasbro, that is .

The completion of the Plague would be awesome, but sadly I don't believe Hasbro will ever go back to giving us anything fresh again. They're happy churning out their lazy, boring overdone repaints of the same tired old characters again and again. The 25th anniversary cr@p is barely months old, yet already populated by second and third versions of some characters. Give me a break! People ony encourage them by buying the rubbish they are currently churning out. Unfortunately, I think if the 25th figures bomb (which they deservre to imho), Hasbro will just drop the entire Joe line. I can't see them bothering to go back to the "old" style stuff again. They've put all their eggs into the one basket. I bought the first two five-packs to give them a chance, but learned my lesson, and won't be buying anymore new stuff as long as it stays in the current style.
