Yesterday at work, I had the pleasure of meeting the guys who make this killer software package, Comic Book Creator. It's only $20, and it lets you make comic-style pages, with panels and lots of different word ballons, sound effects and other goodies. Even if you don't have access to Photoshop or my favorite, Fireworks, you can use this to make slick-looking dios like Luke's Stormshadow vs. Yoda. Check it out.

Dude! I gotta know more about this one. It would save me from using 2 different programs to create my dios! $20! OH FO SHO!

Thanks for posting about this, Hammerfel! I've been looking for a program like this for a while-- ever since General Hawk told me about the MAC-only "Comic Life" program that he's used. Just placed my order!

Where do you find the Mac version?

I got this yesterday. It's so easy, I had a little demo story done within 5 minutes using the stock photo's I posted here a couple months ago. Its great and really easy to use.

I've been trying to download the demo version to see if I'll like and it keeps locking up my PC. So far I'm not impressed with the program.

GIJock said he wasn't impressed with it either but TG enjoys it. So I don't really know if I should hook up with it or not. As it stands now, the place I post my pics is having a bug again so my dios are offline. For $20, it's not a huge investment so I might take the dive. I wasn't able to get the free demo version either.
