Question What's Up With December's Comic?!

IDW #173 for December appears to be utilizing ACTION FIGURES instead of DRWAINGS to tell it's story - if you can believe the teaser page in #172, scene below. My comic shop, Ravenswood, doesn't get this title in until usually around the 20th-25th of the month. Has anyone gotten a copy earlier yet? Are they basically doing a DIO-STORY for this months issue? If so, is it just a "Christmas gift" to the readers, or a new format for telling the stories? INTERESTING!!!!

I'm not into the comics, but using action figures woud be pretty cool, and inspiring.

I believe it's just the cover using toys. I read Transformers will be doing it as well.

And yea with all the drawings they do I SERIOUSLY doubt they'd do a dio story with figures... Like TOD said its just a nod to the toys and such.. Cause if you look at the pic its showing 25th figs, and a ARAH fig.
http://www.tfaw.com/Profile/G.I.-Jo...ro-173___394552 about the story itself... Plus there's a Hama drawing so the one with the toys is Cover B and Cover A is drawn.

Thanks for clearing that up Rogue Tiger!
I did not expect to see that on the preview page...

Yeah - I wonder why they only chose 1 ARAH and 3 25ths? And why Stalker for the older one? Time will tell.
