2009 Con...International Theme?
I was a member of the GI Joe collectors club, but since this year the Con set was 25th Anniversary molds, I let my membership expire. Now that I have decided to collect 25th figures, I'm going back and taking a look at the Con figures. I'm not really interested in the Boxed figures, but the 2 Jet Pack figures and the 3 man team. It seems they went with an "international" theme, yet, what I see is one Jet pack trooper and the 3 man team are ALL Argentinian! Was this on purpose, maybe a shout out to Argentina?
Not part of the Post, just FYI....
I'm gonna start using GI Joes more in my Dios (as Opposed to Mostly Cobra's!) and I think I'm going to split the team. The 25th Figures (along with ARAH and DTC) are gonna be the US Joe Team. The ROC figures are gonna be the new Joe International, and if I can score these 5 special Con figures, I will add them to the international team!

YoJoe's really fallen down on keeping its archive up-to-date over the last year, but I've seen that the 2009 Con exclusives also included a Fang repainted as the old Action Force SAS Force Hawk 'copter. Unsure if they also did a Tripwire repaint to be its pilot, Blades (would expect so).

I must've missed when you made this decision! I knew you'd always had some, such as your awesome avatar, but -- congratulations on seeing the light!
Now we just need to get Outrider to do the same thing... I'll get on that right after I teach my pet pig how to defy gravity.

I have not joined the Joe Collector's Club, but I'm thinking more and more about it.
Concerning ARAH, I don't have many that survived during the years, and my all time favorite custom disappeared somewhere between moves. But my Joeverse no longer really has a place for them unless maybe flashback memory scenes. There are some uses, like Lifeline, and other Joes that do not exist yet as 25th versions or newer. But anyway, mixing and matching seem to work. I use Techno-vipers in a mix/match environment with modern troopers. They work well.

I think they probably are going to release the Argintinian GI Joe team, back in the day they had their own story and characters like England and Actionforce.

Yeah, there's been the recent appearance of quarrel with ram in the ME/25th style from the mysterious pre-production sellers...

See now, Blades' SAS Force logo being ruined if the mid-torso articulation is used at all is a perfect example of why I will never have love for the 25th style over previous constructions...!
