Actually, Cobra Commander is Rex "The Doctor" Lewis, and by the end of the film he's revealed to be the big bad or something convoluted of the sort.

Cobra Commander came from Dr.Mindbender?

now i'm confused.. when did it ever mention cobra commander as being a doctor? if he was.. what did he need mindbender for?

Joseph Gordon Levitt's character has been identified as Rex Lewis. Joseph Gordon Levitt's character has also been identified as being Cobra Commander.

Thanks to all the promotional material and interview, the movie's big twist (The Doctor is the true leader!!!) has been spoiled from everyone.

There are some major oddities in the story like : Spoiler: Baroness and CC are siblings, Duke was engaged to Baroness, CC (Rex/Doctor) and Duke were "best buds", Snake-eyes is to Scarlet "like a brother", Ripcord is black SS is Korean (so I've heard/read), Zartan is bald Brainwashed Cobra troops, Supposedly Baroness is Brainwashed too... CC is like SE = horrifically scarred etc. the list could go on and on... But like many have pointed out... its probably best as a mindless summer pocorn action flick...it will have zero impact on my 'verse and it will not be the G.I.Joe I know and love...but more like an interesting new take on the franchise... __________________ "Only Idiots Quote Themselves!" - Me Last edited by EasySimpleStuff : 07-06-2009 at 03:51 AM.

Death_at_Midnight Cobra R & D Offline --> Posts: 4,001 --> Join Date: Nov 2008	No spoilers here: The nature of this movie is to "reboot" the toy line... therefore I shall resist it as an attack on my Joeverse, which has had over 25 years to evolve the way it has. I shall resist the brainwashing... ;-) With that said, it is interesting how some of the new figures might grow on me... for instance, the new Cover Girl and Scarlett. For some reason Cover Girl is looking to me like some sort of computer specialist, not the "heavy weapons specialist" her packaging says she is. It's probably that she comes with a laptop. And Scarlett I have already replaced the head with the 25th one and she looks way better. Both are leaning towards becoming a subset of my Joe team... the cyber-warfare group. So far with the other new Joes, they currently are morphing into my existing Joe team/verse. So far i like them there and don't think the movie will influence me to make them any different than how I see them today. But the Cobra neo-viper.... they look like something from the past. Cobra early days. The one I have doesn't have the posability of the Resolute Troopers, and I certainly will not army build these beyond 10 (at the max). That amount should be enough for dio purposes. But at the moment they do not truly fit into my Joeverse, so we'll see if I even use them beyond pic purposes. __________________ ~~~{==========- Death at Midnight -==========}~~~
