Snake Eyes as Microman
Greetings all ye mortals!
It arrived in the mail today, the Microman I'll use as the base for a custom Snake Eyes. As you all already know, or suspect, I am rather impressed with the amount of articulation in the Microman figures. Recently I did several photos of Catwoman fighting Snake Eyes. Although Snake Eyes is very cool, and is a ninja and such, one would expect him to be fairly articulated to reflect his prowness at the martial arts. But he's of average articulation as far as the Joes go.
Microman, on the other hand, puts all the Joes, even those with the best articulation, to shame. The Resolute troopers come close, though. But still no dice.
So I got to thinking for ways to convert a Microman into a Joe figure. I chosed Snake Eyes because as an expert with so many martial arts, he really needs to have the articulation to be posed in martial arts stances. And there has been some interest here too concerning this little pet project.
So today I started customizing the Microman figure. I'll use this thread to post updates, photos, etc, of the progress. If this works well for Snake Eyes, Storm Shadow should be next. Wish me success!

Microman
This is certainly an interesting topic for discussion. I'd also like to see progress pictures and particularly ideas.
I recently won a microman material force figure from ebay and I'm going to customise it. Into what I dont know yet.. so it's definately good someone else see's the Microman as a viable source for customizing.
Looking forward to this.

Day 1: Getting Started
So far what I've done today is take apart the Microman and applied epoxy. I hope to use epoxy to bulk up certain areas. Then I intend to carve and shape those areas a bit.
