Default action force vs GI Joe

we have discussed this briefly once before, but didnt give any opinions. what i am wondering is for everyone who has read both action force and the marvel joe run, which stories (dont consider art) do you prefer?

i, myself had to go with action force. at first it didnt have the color, and the art was lacking somewhat. but i loved the stories. to me i enjoyed the way they portrayed characters such as zartan, destro, and firefly. heck, they made mutt one of my favorite characters, and i also loved the first stories of the baroness and major bludd. i would have called it a tie if you only counted the first 60 or so issues of the marvel run, but counting the later issues i had to go with action force. this is, however without taking into account art and the fact that action force did not have color at first and only came in chapters of 7 to 10 pages.

So by Action Force you mean just the stories published in Fleetway's Battle/Action Force comic and not Marvel UK's Action Force titles?

I'd say GI Joe; ongoing plot threads, more complex characterisation and stories, the ability to inject humour and satire to lighten the tone sometimes rather than having an air of grim determination the whole time... I guess there's a certain element of realism to having terrorist bad guys who are thugs and/or fanatics but they ended up coming across as too one-dimensional to me rather than Hama's motivations of personal greed and, masterfully, honour.
