Thumbs up Euro-JoeCon

This was something discussed many moons ago over on the old UK collectors thead @ Yojoe. Alot of contributing members were up for it, the big problem would be location and sorting out the room to meet up at.

Something like that takes alot of planning, essentially an event, the people that go to it would have to be all in, i'm just not sure theres the fanbase to host one single event on its own, it would have to be at an existing event to piggyback on until it has the support.

If we had an Australian Joe con, I'd be the only one there! At least I wouldn't have to wait in line!

Yep, would be good. But are there enough of us to make it worthwhile (especially in this day and age)?

There seems to be enough for Hasbro to sell Joes there. I think the movie and this big push Hasbro is doing is going to make a fan base where none currently exists. Time is on your side as ppl begin to buy, then collect, then want to find other like minded folks.

Anyway, if I were in Europe I would say to count me in too. How things are now, I might find myself in Asia for a while.

this was an example of a Con set i was thinking of but havn't worked out the costs
1x Red shadow trooper (M.A.R.S trooper body custom helmet)
1x Q force Aqua Trooper (repaint of torpedo + classic trooper gear)
1X Space engineer (Flash body.Pitt amour . Deepsix SRO Helmet.Hiss driver legs. IG destro Arms.
1x S.A.S attack trooper ( basic Green joe body .Original gear .and Joe Helmet)
1 X Z force troopper (basic green joe body. head ? Tricky one that )
let me know if people would be interested in getting somthing like this made it out be at a cost so I'd like to know there was a substantial numbers to have it made .
you know its times like this I wish I won the lotto that way I would have no prob going to Hasbro saying look heres x amount for you to make this set for me and my buddies can ye do it

I think I'd prefer an SAS commando myself (no helmet, beanie/knit cap instead)
http://www.bloodforthebaron.com/toy.../011/index.html

But I like the way you're thinking.

I note that at least some of the original Action Force SAS force are simple repaints. E.g.
Blades is a repaint of Tripwire (http://www.bloodforthebaron.com/toy.../010/index.html) and Hunter is a repaint of a cobra infantry soldier: http://www.bloodforthebaron.com/toy.../013/index.html

So these figures would at least be pretty easy to put together.
