I collect 1:18 scale for multiple reasons:

They're generally compatible with everything I've collected since childhood

As above, vehicles & playsets are prolific

Small size helps with storage

New purchases are cost-effective, though some companies are pricey

My GIJoe collection is O-ring. Anything modern I picked up was for vehicles or customs in other lines. I've got some more modern styled figures from Star Wars, Marvel, Marauder Inc, PTE, DC, Men In Black, basically anybody who'll still make 1:18 figures & accessories.
