How can we improve the site?
I think we all need to ask that question. I've been coming here nearly everyday for about a year and a half now. I come to see the pics others have posted, and when my busy life allows, I even get to post a pic or two of my own. I love seeing what others do, and i like to be able to show my stuff to other who can appreciate it and comment on them. I'm very appreciative of all the feedback I've gotten. I look at this like a skill/ art. I want to get better and learn new techniques. I have really loved the how-to's that have been done. They're great.
I don't comment on other's photos as much as I probably should. I have to apologize for not participating in target range or the theme very much, but a full time job, a year old son, and wife in medical school keep me pretty busy. I also don't really talk to anyone from here on msn or email, and maybe that's why all this drama as of late hasn't really bothered me.
Since I started visiting the site, the amount of people posting photos has gotten much larger, but the quality has taken a hit. I have to sift more mud to find the gems these days.
I would kind of like to see a limit of three photos per day per person. I think that would prevent people from posting eight nearly identical photos that no one wants to see. If people want to post a series of eight shots they should use CBC and the diorama section. And maybe we could brainstorm ways to try and get us all to improve our skills. Maybe we could give out some monthly awards for the best shots or something.
What do the rest of you guys think?
