Alright, let's see if I can shed some light on things, shall we??
Yes, in the past few weeks things have seemed to be 'circling the bowl'. But this isn't the fault of any one person or persons..........what's been going on is a direct result of 'personality differences'. The one thing we can all agree on is our love of 'G.I. Joe'. Beyond that, our cultural, personal and physical differences will at times, like this, cause us to 'clash'.
And much like Craig stated, when more and more people find their way into a small community, friction inevitably follows. But this is something of a 'natural order' of things. And as creatures of habit, sometimes 'change' doesn't seem to sit too well.
But, as the forward-thinking, creative and open-minded individuals this community is, I know that once all this blows over and the dust settles, we will see that in the end we are all still, 'Lovers of G.I. Joe'.............and the one lesson that we should all be able to agree upon is the predominant theme of this toy line..........
Friendship above all, this is the cornerstone of honor
We are all friends here. In varying degrees mind you, but still............
Yes, some of us chat more frequently than others. Some of us have passionate likes and dislikes. Some of us take things too deeply to heart. Some of us don't know when or how to 'walk away'. But it is these very differences that bring us all back here each and every day, isn't it???
I don't expect us to all sit around the proverbial fire and sing 'Kumbaya'-what I do hope is that we can put aside differences and hard feelings and embrace the true meaning of this forum. Some of us need to check ourselves, some of us need to breathe, some of us need to take a break.........but all of us need to remember that we are all friends. THAT'S why we all ask the questions and share the answers that are peppered all over this forum.
So, I ask you all to please release the 'drama' that has taken hold recently. Go outside and take some deep breaths. Pull out your favorite movie and sit through it with the phone and computer off. Go and talk to people that you love and trust. Make a conscience effort to 'mend the hurt'. I know that I personally have held no ill will towards anyone recently. It's not who I am. I can't and won't expect you to do the same, but I will appeal to your higher sense of morality.
Let's remember, at the end of the day, it's not about your enemies, it's about those you call 'Friend'.............
I consider each and every person who contributes to this site, MY FRIEND..........
Peace
GS
