What it comes down to is that the toy industry apparently isn't like it was when we were young. Hasbro can't make a mold and maybe use it one time for one character. They have to repaint it multiple times to recoup their money, and I'd rather have the same mold with minor retools over and over again as several different characters, than the same mold repainted as the same character many times.
