Johnny Douglas, a British composer, did the music for the first two mini-series, and it continued to be used through the rest of the series, though except for the variations of the main G.I. Joe march, it sort of faded away over time.

The main music used in seasons 1 and 2 (which was shared with The Transformers seasons 2 and 3), as well as the movie, was composed by Robert J. Walsh.
