My brother and I collected since 1982. I saved 4+ months to pay $7.97 for VAMP w/ straight-arm Clutch. Thanks mom for covering sales tax! Mom picked up Zap for my brother and we had our first team. I really wanted a Flash and saved for him, but Target didn't have him and a picked up Short-Fuse instead... My brother andIi looked at the little catalog and every new wave we'd get a little catalog and try to decide who would get what so we could keep our joint collection rolling along.

Then we started picking up stuff on our own. Then we got old and went to college.

Lucky for us Mom is a worse pack rat than we are and none of our stuff was lost.

I picked up again on eBay around 1999 or 2000 and was interested again. Since then i have been interested more and more through various stages, G.I. Joe has been a good hobby through thick and thin.

This past Christmas my brother busted out his WHALE and Hydrofoil and let my sons have a sea battle on our mom's laundry room floor. There was no water involved, but my sons had a blast and my brother and I just looked at each other and smiled. it was like wathcing ourselves at the same time... So cool!
