I personally think in circumstances such as this that the most important thing to do is leave nothing unsaid.
Tell the people around you that you love them.
If the worst case scenario does happen it will be easier on them.
This is speaking from personal experience.

Other then that just stay positive, and fight with everything you got. You have the whole of joedios behind you, that is people you have never met and probably never will because they are a world apart from you, still you have managed to reach them on some level and have their support. So it matters man, keep up the spirit, I'm crossing everything I got for you man.
