Modern Age tells the stories that are happening now and slightly in the future (uh, I think so on the latter part...). If I did it correctly, the stories have a timeline.

Archives tells stories BEFORE Transformations.

SYNOPSIS
TRANSFORMATIONS

Kamakura and Snake Eyes infiltrate a Cobra R&D installation. The pair of ninja find an odd device created and built by Overkill. Deciding that they need to inform General Hawk of what they found, they attempt to leave. Before they can even get out of the chamber, they run into Ghost Bear, Razor Claw and a bunch of Razor Troopers. Kamakura is ordered to get out while Snake Eyes is taken prisoner. Snake Eyes is thrown into what becomes known as the TRANSFORMATION chamber. He comes out as a new man. *snicker*

Due to the increase of Cobra spreading their disease around the world, the GI Joe team has been broken down into specialized teams. Flint and Hawk create the Rapid Response Tactical Team (RRTS). Lt. Graydon along with a crew of 5 others are sent in to rescue Snake Eyes.

Instead they run into nitemarish creatures. The RRTS1 undercover what the Transformation does, what the experiments were down there and worse yet, Snake Eyes throws himself to the mercy of the monsters while the RRTS retreats. Their mission, a failure.

Or is it? Soon after, LowLight and Bombstrike head BACK into the R&D installation WHICH Cobra Commander had re-opened for an investigation. As it turns out, Ghost Bear and Major Bludd had led incursions into the installation (at a slight earlier date) and been imprisoned. It is revealed where the monsters were really coming from and a new enemy has come to face the world.

After the Joes escape from the installation, the fight continues under the EMP located in Seattle, Washington. Snake Eyes and Storm Shadow fight the warlord and his first warrior to the end.

*The original story had War For Territory as the titling of the sequel. At some point, I changed it up so the sequel became part of the Transformations storyline.

*With the exception of the title War For Territory, all titles are Iron Maiden tracks. War For Territory comes from Sepultura. I decided then that, technically, each 'big' dio would take songs from a particular group. This would help keep it distinct from other dios that would use title tracks from other music groups.

*The end alien warrior doesn't actually die. If the reader can catch it, he and his 1st warrior can teleport from spot to spot.

*A range of toys were used. Lizardmen from the Spiderman toys, the red creatures from Alien Racers, CloneTroopers from SW and a couple of Microman figures from the Microman line. BUT none represent that particular toyline.

*One of the most notable elements is the brother/sister relationship between Gung Ho and Bombstrike.

*Introduces Lt. Graydon, a customized GI Joe, who isn't Flint, Duke or Hawk. (Or Beach Head or Stalker, for that matter!)

*Readers got the chance to meet Major Barrage and despite rank, he's about as green as Bombstrike!

*Readers notice that there is VERY lil use of the CORE in the ways EVERYONE was used to. Until this dio showed up, people were used to comic CORE AND they were used to Spy Troops and the VvV versions of characters.

*This was a chance to take GI Joe in the direction I always wanted. To make it sci-fi/horror-ish without being too unbelievable.

*The fact that the aliens come from a dimension tear in space comes DIRECTLY from THE MIST by Stephen King (and way before the movie came out). The premise was the monsters in THE MIST came from the military experimenting with lasers and cutting the fabric of our reality. This fact was VERY tongue in cheek.
