If I elaborate too much that would kill everyone's creativity! But I'll tell you what I had in mind (God, I wish I was home with my Joes and my Camera)...anyway...

Comm guys usually in garrison or in static bases pull 24 hour watches. We are up all night doing everything from fixing phones and radios in COC's (Combat Operations Centers), splicing fiber Optic Cables, installing satellite relays to bring in phone and internet services, installing software, reprogramming phone or data switches, replacing cards in Multiplexers, troubleshooting servers, you name it. And the only time you hear about how Comm is doing is when something is WRONG! We're like the cooks! We never hear how good services are, but when it's bad, we get blasted.

In the field we set up small microwave antennas to get point to point internet and phone service to units out in the field, or if we're too far out, we can use Via-sat (Small Satellite antennas--Watch "Under Seige", Steven Seagal uses one in that movie!). We string tactical phone cord. Set up data over radio links. We make sure that when it hits the fan, you got a way to call for help, resupply, or medevac! Our "unofficial" motto; "You can talk ABOUT us, but you can't talk WITHOUT us!"

Basically, I was gonna show Mainframe, Breaker, DialTone, Hard Drive, Sparks and/or High Tech installing, repairing, or monitoring Comm Gear. Either in the dead of night in a boring garrison location or in the middle of a battle while under fire. Have them working on the dish on the 1983 HQ or the Radar Dish on the MCC, climbing under the consoles of some of the bigger play sets or vehicles, or just calling a fire mission for LRRP guys. That what you were looking for?

Maybe I'll take some pic of what we do in Iraq and post them!
