Hi,
It's been a while since I made a post here on the forums, so I might as well offer what would be a safe bet on cleaning you Joe vehicles.
1.) for removing tarnished yellow on some plastics - OxyClean bath -
Just dip the proper vehicles in the vat of Oxyclean diluted hot/warm water and let the vehicle set in for 6-7 hours. (Note: Only works on "some" plastics ie. USS Flagg and other vehicles. Does not work on plastics of the '89 Crusader BTW.) Another thing to mention that this stuff rubs the ink of the decals, so try not to rub them off while it's in the Oxyclean bath. Warning: Do not mix with Bleach, it creates chlorine gas, bad for the resperatory lung. Just a word of caution.
2.) for a safe removal of heavily dusty and/or dirty stains on playsets and vehicles: -Nature's Miracle Pet Stain cleaner spray
Just either spray a bit on a moistened cloth or rag and wipe off the stains from the vehicles. Also you can spray the stuff on the vehicles and rinse the stains off the vehicles instantly. It's decal safe, and no worries of them coming off.
Not to mention, it uses natural ingredients like Orange Oil. I've tested it out on a BattelForce 2000 SkySweeper tank and not only does it work, it even gives it that nice citrus-like scent. Really smells great. =)
This stuff is found at your local pet store:
Spray = Probably $4 - $5
Refill container = $10
Hey, this may be some expensive stuff, but it really works =)
I how this helps out in cleaning your veichle collection. Haven't tried it on figures though. Post some responses and let us know how this stuff pans out.
=)
