Agreed Craig! I did the same thing! I purchased the two 5 packs to give them a chance, but they are too delicate, too flimsy and stiff. The only one I plan on getting from wave 2 is Serpentor. (Just because I love the DD version...the old MArvel mold is too unbelievable!)
Graham, of course the DTC line sales sucked! No advertising on TV....a Comic that is harder than the holy grail to find....no cartoon to back it...not like HAsbro EVER intended for it to succeed! And the same with the 25th toys! I went to 5 stores yesterday (2 targets, 2 Walmarts, and a TRU) and nothing! Well, ok...one 5 pack of cobra figures stuck up in an overhead bin. WTF? I just wish HAsbro would come out and say it.....
"The Iraq war is not popular and we are afraid to sell War toys (Remember when we Changed GI Joe to 'the Adventure Team' because of Viet Nam), because liberal parents (you know, the same ones who won't let their kids play with toy guns and protest every violent action the US has been involved in, but sit home in their yuppy mansion and smoke dope talking about their years at Berkley) might sue us or when the democrats win the election might find a way to put pressure on us, so we're just gonna act like we're incompetent and let the lines sales slip until we can justify dropping it!"
I just wish they would quit acting like they care about their flagship line and admit that since they bought out "Kenner" , Star Wars toys are their new cash cow and they don't give a damn about GI Joe or Fans, just the almighty dollar!
