1. Duke. He speaks to me in the no-nonsense, authoritative voice of Michael Bell, who portrayed him on the cartoon. He's far and away the easiest Joe character for me to write dialogue for because I can always hear his voice so clearly as I do it.

2. Not really. I mean, nowadays, it's hard for me to find a place for the Oktober Guard, unless I permanently freeze my world in the 80s, or have it set in a near-parallel universe where the U.S.S.R. never collapsed. Other than that, I just have everyone integrated the same way they were in the comics and/or TV show.

3. I think this perfectly defines Cobra Commander from the comics, especially after his "resurrection." He'd be flitting about, using really big words and alliterating left and right, then you'd turn the page and he'd be shooting the White Clown and Magda in the head with no remorse!
