It's more than just 'deleting spam' too....it's becoming completely neutral, and knowing that your not going to be the most popular person due to your position and the rules that you sometimes have to enforce. It's learning to not 'jump to conclusions', taking things in stride and going against your first thoughts of 'banning' or 'suspending' or even having your feelings hurt. You have to have patience, good judgement and a strong constitution against people who 'get bent' when you have to put on the 'referee hat'. Members tend to look at Mods differently than they do other members, whether they realize it or not......and it's not always fun or glamorous, matter of fact, it can be downright thankless.....
It's not about 'having a title', it's about having the good common sense that God gave humans......something that is sadly lacking in a majority of today's society....
As for the spambots, they aren't that bad. I get a lot more of them than anyone realizes and as long as no one views them, they don't get the 'hits' that encourage them to cycle back around as quickly.
