yeah, so do i, but as you said when the screw is totally stripped you have no other choice. i have never messed up a figure doing the drill method. i guess it all depends on how slow you take it, how steady your hand is and some luck. try everything else first, but if nothing works, which a lot of the time the screw is to far gone, then you have to resort to the drill.
