Not sure if this has ever been brought up or not, but there's a really good series by Matthew Rielly. The sub-series follows Shane "Scarecrow" Shofield, a USMC Capt. while he fights various organizations and badguys.

Point being, the newest in the collection, "Scarecrow Returns" or "Scarecrow & the Army of Thieves", depending where in the world you live... reminds me a lot of a really good Cobra story. Check the series out... its worth it.
