Help pls.. Kindle .. white or black?

Hello all,

I need some help making a decision: which Kindle to get?

The black DX one, which is a bit larger?

Or the white one, which is a bit smaller?

I have the white, and size-wise it is PERFECT.

But some of my friends say the white plastic yellows over time, like V1. Stormshadow. :(

Black cuz bad guys wear black. Or was that good guys? Smart guys? Ah nuts, always bet on black!

Hehhe

I'm leaning towards the black mostly because it's larger (just don't like the larger price).

I do have a lot of technical programming books I use for reference. Of course I can Google stuff, but that does take time and sometimes not so convienent--it does take time to search sites after googling to find the one that has what you're looking for. But if I can keep my library of source code, references and other helpful things, it'll be useful.

That's where the larger screen can be a benefit. But that price... gosh....

How clear/sharp is the white one's display? It says 167 ppi, whereas the black is 150 ppi.

Maybe get an iPad then? Lots more capability, color touch screen, and it runs the Kindle app (and the Nook app as well).

Well, its 50/50 really........because depending on what religion you follow, 'Death' is celebrated either black or white........

That's my way of giving you a 'PC NON-answer' :p

You can read comic books on the ipad as well. :p or so I've heard and read.

Semi-related...for any smart device or computer...but if you go with Barnes & Noble's e-reader, for the next month they're giving away free classics electronically starting today.

iPad is nice, but a bit expensive. I could get it, but several things I need to consider: the new Joes are beginning to come out and need to budget for that, and I just bought the Droid X, and I have another flight to Asia coming up.
