JoeCon 2010 in full effect, yo!

The 2010 JoeCon is in full swing. News is coming in from various sites but since there are no reps from the JD, we have to rely on other sites. I am throwing down a few links for people to check out. And to note, I'm throwing down THESE link because there's no membership required to view the pictures and read the notes. I did the searching so you don't! Enjoi.

General Joes pics of the goodies there. You get the POC figures, POC vehicles, Resolute Figures and in the last batch, the Hasbro Dioramas (which I rather like the desert and city scapes)

This is a quick listing of what's up for the rest of the year and some of 2011. Note that there is a cartoon coming. From ToyNewsInternational.

Supposed 2011 line up. Notice the TRU exclusives and what the upcoming Spirit will be based off of. ;)

More doom and gloom regarding the o-ring molds. No future o-ring con sets. The Hydro-Viper and diver sets may not even be made in ARAH style. Hurricane mold destroyed years ago.

Actually, the Club roundtable almost never has anything good to say. A lot of
"couldn't do this", "wanted to do this", "might do this but it depends..."

I want to see more pics of diorama's .. i've seen about 4 there, but wouldn't mind more than just the top views. If there's any accessories/props that look interesting other than barrels, then those too. The new figure art seems interesting, and how about views from the sides and back? Most pics are of the figures from the front. I wanna see all around.

That 200th version of Snake Eyes looks dope Lowlight looks AESOME the Spirit looks cool and that Cobra Shock Viper is like WOW. The cool thing is all the greataccessories that is coming with these figures.

The next wave of Joe/Cobra figures also include the hand articulation as well if anyone noticed. the hand bends at the wrist like the Our War toys do. Also no one has mentioned as reported over on General Joes http://generalsjoes.com/ look under the SK Omega section....This is what we know so far:

* 3 3/4″ Figures
* O-ring style with screws in the back, metal rivets, metal T-bars
* High quality vehicles with a very 80’s “feel”
* Elaborate, intricate, well detailed tooling
* The goal is to have a vintage figure vibe mixed with a very modern day aesthetic for a good bridge between the two. They want to appeal to both audiences
* Production is in the very early stages, hoping for product launch middle of 2011
* Figures, comic, and animation all hitting
* Main figure and vehicle designers are Ron Rudat and Guy Cassady, two of the brightest brains behind the original Real American Hero line

So O-Ringed figures are not TOTALLY dead... just from Hasbro. That helicopter there looks kinda like the Cobra Transport Chopper and then two jets including a Harrier styled jet and another one as well.

Yeah, that SK Omega stuff looks promising. Very The Corps like. Especially that medic with the red cross on his chest, very reminiscent of a similar Corps figure.

And that Hive playset, Terrordrome anyone ?
