Background Landscapes

I took some pictures of a new plane I aquired recently. I found a fairly open area outside where I could get some shots of it with real sunlight on it. I actually used some thread and hung it from a tree branch so I could get a fully 360 degrees around it.
what I need now is a good source for some landscapes to put in the back ground. preferable some arial typstuff looking out horozontaly, looking down and maybe some shy shots with various cloud formations.
Are there any websites where I might find something like this?

For clouds, you can find those at the ever useful cgtextures.com.

For actual flying-like shots looking around or down to the ground, perhaps browse around on websites made by airshow or glider enthousiasts ?

otto, pm me your email addy and i'll send over some sky images.

BTW, I tend to fotoshop all my aerial stuff. So between Outrider and myself, i have a few hundred images of certain planes on an average table! The key is to take from various angles. Some are only a few degrees apart just going around the thing and shooting up-angles, down angles, backside. If you check out my fotos (find a pic of my stuff, open it up and then SEE ALL IMAGES), I don't bother with the string thing anymore. I found it too hard to grab a shot when the thing is swinging or rotating. Much easier to go Star Wars style where, the thing just sits there and you move the camera around it.

Google should do the job Otto, just search for "aerial view" or similar, it should give you some sweet images pretty quickly. Works for me! :)

I tried Google, and got some great pictures of the sky, but only a handful of usable landscape type stuff. The biggest problem is trying to fing a picture that is big enough to use.
I sent Sonne my e-maill addy. I guess he's going to send me some stuff as well.

Use Terragen for some CGI landscapes.

Already sent, Otter.

Should be there waiting for you.
