Also, the 7 pack Ripcord annoys the hell out of me.... flamethrower mask and an ugly head.

I should probably watch the movie for an informed opinion.

Being a traditionalist, for me Ripcord is white. And so is Repeater, and Dial Tone is male....etc, etc. :)

Watching the movie won't make a difference. You know the truth in your heart. How do you not love this classic character since his inception in the beginning of joe cannon?
He is definitely the blackest Ripcord we have had so far.



And I agree Swindle, that 7 pack figure blows, until you make the head swap so he aligns with the classic character.

I like the black Ripcord.

For me the original Ripcord looks a bit aged. And so he retired and black Ripcord is now the new Ripcord.


And for me too, Dial Tone is male.

If Darth Vader can be Cobra Commander, why cant Marlon Wayne be Ripcord?

Just in case you didn't know, Dial Tone is like Doc I think, she's a different person. Now we need an o-ring one!

But Ripcord, hm, dunno, I don't really mind either way I guess. He never seemed like anyone to begin with.

I like Black Ripcord. But he didn't "replace" '84 Ripcord for me. I'd like to do like Roland and get a Bronze Bomber head to create a new ARAH figure. Maybe just call him "Rip". Stalker is too damned quiet, Roadblock is too damned rhymey, Doc is too damned dead... The Joes really need someone smooth like Lando Calrissian.
