Joedios Hall of Fame?
 

While I don't post many photos myself, I always enjoy visiting here to check out the awesome work of everyone else, which made me think, maybe we should have a Joedios hall of fame to recognize the long time contributors of a high standard of work. You could have criteria like must be nominated by 3 (or 5, or 10?) different members, has to have been a member for at least 2 years, must have posted at least 300 (or however many) photos/diostories and must produce work of a high standard. Perhaps Hammerfel could have final approval on inductees. It's just an idea I had to recognize the folks who are the backbone of this site and who keep me coming here. What does everyone think?

The 'old' folks would include :

Sonneilon
Outrider
ToneGunsRevisited (tho he dont' show up much)
Ender098
Lord Raven

For the most part, THESE are the guys who post quite abit.

I'd like to add GIJock but he's been MIA.

You can take guys like HellJester, General Hawk (that's right, THE General Hawk of GeneralHawk's Dios and JBL fame), and a few others that were primarily dio guys then disappeared.

Honestly, of the 5 mentioned, OUTRIDER has got to be the #1 member. Yes, I've contributed a lot to the site (in terms of becoming a mod/adminstrator, dios, project ideas such as Target Range, Weekend Warriors and the most recent SAVE OUTRIDER, HOW-TOs, 1-shots, Reviews) but Craig is an entirely different entity. He truly is like the anchor for this site.

I like the idea. I'd just feel bad if i left people out. Cuz when it comes to QUALITY of shots, there are a handful of 'newer' members that just blow a lot of people away. Or at least, I'm left crying. Yes, YOU DaveCW and to an extent THINKTANK and VADER9900!!!

In all seriousness, if this ever came to pass, I think Outrider's name would top everyone's list. The man's work is phenomenal!

But then, I'm not telling you guys anything you don't already know.

I think, if you name anyone who is a regular poster here, I would be able to find a shot or two of theirs that is Phenominal!

If we have a HOF we'll just dedicate the entire wall to Outriders splenderous shots.. if you guys havent seen his flickr.com account I suggest you head on over there as well :D
I dont think i know anyone who has come even close to the style of shots this guy has done.
We have alot of newer members too now, but for a HOF to exist we're essentially asking those of exceptionally high standard over a longer period of time to be inducted, I dont think the HOF should be about how long you've been here though. There should be a set standard of contributory posts/ideas and overal general contribution to the site... thats what makes Craig the ideal candidate for Number 1.
For the record I'd have no issues with Outrider being the first H.O.F member. and I reckon alot of people on this site would go with him as their number 1.

The nice thing is that with all that playtime, all those camera shots Craig is truely recognised for his talent. It's great for him to have 5* on every picture, but to have a true accolade or recognition for not just his pictures but for being the anchor and stand up guy that he is.

It's a little embarrasing to be mentioned as the first inductee (if this ever gets off the ground). I certainly agree with all the names mentioned so far, but we can't forget Flatline; Marcos is an incredible talent! Then there's folks like Luke Ellison, Scarrviper, guiltridden....thinking about something like this makes you realize how many talented people contribute to this site. Overall I think it's a cool idea that would be great could it be made to work.

Outrider should be the first inducted.

Many did great pictures here, but the only one I saw doing great shots from first to the last picture is Craig. I can't remember about him posting at least 1 shot out of focus. Or one shot that didn't get at least 1 coment. If there is a hall of fame the guy must be him.

In the hall I would add Hammerfell. Yes, long time since his last shot, but at the end of the month he is the guy paying the bills of the place. And just keep a look at his diostories, never finished yes, but what great effects he added to them.

Marcos Flatline jumped in with all his strengh. Pulling great shots one after another. Kind person always having something nice to say and help. That attitude can help a lot our community.

G, modereting the sometimes "kindengarden JoeDios". Not forgeting the cleaning of spams. Tons of dios produced to this days.

A guy that did a lot for the site, behind the scenes, is Frank aka Ender098. He helped a lot of guys here with an adress where to ship things in USA, grabbing things on the stores, re-shipping, donating figs/acesories/figures. That's a type of action that some don't see, but help the community.

Those guys are in my hall of fame.

I'll be honest. I don't post much and I focus on dios. I like doing sweeping storylines that encompass 100s of shots. But Craig, he shows that you can do a whole story in 1 shot. To get our imagination going. In a way, I'm very jealous of that cuz my 1-shots go hot and cold. I'd take Outrider as THE 1st Hall of Famer here. A lot of guys have done some great stuff here, then disappeared. A lot of us have tried to get them back but we haven't had much luck.

If you guys want TRUE anchors of the JD, it's Craig, me and Frank (ender098).

Why me? I know it sounds big-headed, but the guys on the JBL always thought of me as the neutral guy who tried to get everyone get along. I hate to see fighting on something like this (errrrr, website). A lot of the duties I stepped up to, it's because no one else would (as Luis said). It's like... The 3 people I mentioned, Craig represents the pushing forth of 1-shots. I push the dio stuff (maybe 2 years ago, I didn't, but where are THOSE authors! LOL!). Frank seems to be the master of starting crap up in the Forums.

You want a 4th? It's Neopolitan Joe for taking care of the COLLECTIONS area. OR you could cite Chrysoflax for his well-focused shots (but known for flooding the fotos section...).

You want to look at this a really funky way? Craig is all about GM. Frank seems to be all about Dodge. And me, I represent the foreign cars. So therefore, we three are different car companies but still produce cars in the end!!!
